Default Need reassurance

I just had my first positive Ketostick today (yippee for me), but I checked several times over the course of the day and the amount of ketones in my urine kept getting lower and lower. Is that normal? Is it due to dilution of the urine from drinking? Please reassure me that my "purple stick" will be back tomorrow.

Thumbs down

Atkins says that the best time to "measure" is late afternoon/early evening because during the day your amount of ketones will change. BUT too many people rely on those blasted sticks on whether they are or are not in ketosis. If you are eating what you are suppose to; keeping carbs at your critical level CCL than you should not take what those sticks say to heart! I only test once in a while - - I am losing weight and inches and that is my indicator that I am in ketosis.

Do yourself a favor and don't rely on them!

Talking

Ikon is right (as usual) ANY PINK IS GOOD PINK!!

Try and concentrate on how you feel more than the stix. Although I do the same thing, the stix give me my motivation.

Excess water intake will lighten up the stix. Don't worry, your on the road to success!!

I always show up negative. I've lost 13 lbs so far, so I've decided to ditch the sticks.
