Default water, water water

Could someone, anyone, give me some tips to help me drink the water. I find I spend hours running to the bathroom (ah! perhaps this extra running heps to lose the weight!) and am up several times each night. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks to all for the support I keep finding on my screen.

I run to the bathroom every hour it seems. That's just the way it is. If you drink it slowly, sipping, it may not run out of you so quickly. I am one to drink in guzzles so I understand why I go so much

But this is what you want....for it to come out of you with the fat and ketones...so drink up!

Don't worry, you're probably still losing that proverbial "water weight" that goes along with stored glycogen and fat. That will slow down, and your bladder will catch up.

I was having the same problem with waking up during the night and needing to pee. Since I need my sleep, I no longer drink anything 1-2 hours before bed. At work I just get lots of exercise walking to the bathroom all day!

momofmka,

I am a water-holic and I still run to the bathroom probably every 45 minutes or so during the day (kind of like a dog passing a fire hydrant). It is well worth it though when those pounds melt away! I used to go more often though, so I agree that your bladder starts to adjust. I also don't drink anything after 8PM and can usually get a good nights sleep.

My problem is getting the water DOWN...before I can get it OUT! I hate water...and I havent been drinking it. Any suggestions for getting it down would be welcome (except for the lemon in the water one...i know that one...doesnt work well for me )

I've been thinking of pinning a paper on my bathroom wall that I can tick each time I go, I don't really know why I would want to track this, but I get strange ideas at times.

I agree that the longer I do the water drinking the more my body is adjusting and holding. Yesterday I did down about 25oz rather fast, midday catch up. My husband had to wait 15-20 min for me to empty before we went grocery shopping. I usually time things better.

Hi Momofmka,

I too hate water. I just do it! Fill the glass (12 oz) with room temp and chug it down.

I don't understand people who love water. My daughter loves the stuff. Me, I'd rather drink Diet Rite.

I hate the stuff too, it tastes like absolutely nothing at all...

I find you do get used to drinking the stuff tho, it dosent taste any better, but just gets to be a habit. I fill a pitcher - for some reason I have a few nice ceramic ones - and that way its about how much I'm supposed to drink in a day and its at room temp so goes down easier.

If it was my choice I'd skip the water - like I skip the stretches at exercise time but reading all about how you need water to metabolize fat, convinces me to force it down.

What if you used flavored extracts and sweetener in your water. Peach or Almond or a berry flavor?

I don't know why I love water so much. My husband hates it.

Post When I drink most of my water

I'm at least able to drink 2 liters of water without effort due to my trick:

I drink a half a liter of water when I take my vitamins in the morning. (Got to get the fiber some liquid).
Then with each meal I drink a half liter... not exactly but I drink from a liter bottle so I can tell closely.

Now if I could only drink 2 more liters between the meals that would be great. I typically am not thirsty unless I eat anything.
And since I'm not so hungry between meals, I typically don't drink.
