Default stalled but happy

Hello everyone. I am a new member from Perth Western Australia and have been low carbing for about 6 weeks. I had a good start, but have now really slowed down (9 lbs and then nothing for about 3 weeks), but the funny thing is, I feel pretty good ( I am not gaining after all) and I don't obsess constantly about food as I have for the last 20 years of my life. I am feeling great apart from late afternoon weakness...if I could just iron this out, I think I could stick with this woe indefinitely.

Glad to be a part of this great community....

Hi Grovegirl,

You've described a typical "pause" that usually occurs after the 4th, 5th, or 6th week of LC-ing. It can last anywhere from 2 to 6 weeks but tends to go away on its own and the weight should start coming off again. People experience variation of course, but that is the trend.

Welcome to the forum!!! I hope you find lots of good information and support here!

As for the late afternoon thing, do you drink coffee in the morning? Some people who drink coffee early in the day get wiped out by the afternoon without the carbs all day long. Just a thought...otherwise maybe you're lacking something in the Supplement area. Are you taking supplements?

Best,
Kypraia

Welcome! You are off to a GREAT start. Try not to get discouraged by the stall. I have been stalled for over a month! It happens.. You'll get through and wake up to a whoosh soon!

Thank you both for these helpful comments. I will re-examine the supplement question, as I have not carefully compared Dr. A's suggestions with my multi-vitamin yet. Also, I am a (guilt, guilt) coffee addict, so that may well be my problem.

I woke up one pound lighter this morning, so I guess the woosh effect is kicking in. Thanks again.....have a great day.
