Default Do we really count a carb for an egg?

I thought eggs were zero carbs. In the Atkins Quick-Start Guide, the sample meals show that 2 eggs have 2 net carbs.

The USDA Nutrient Database says there are .36 carbs (grams) in 1 large egg.

I really thought we should count eggs as zero!

What is correct?

Thanks!

I have always used .61 as the carb count for an egg or rounded up to 1. Eggs do have carbs albeit a small number.

I count the .6 number.

I count ALL carbs. Just because it's a low number, doesn't mean they aren't there. all those "freebies" add up.

This reminds me of that old Weight Watcher's trick of only eating zero point food - but eating it all day long. And those people were shocked they didn't loose weight.....

The way I see it, Eggs are a perfect food. They last a while in your belly and more often then not you won't be snacking in between meals. I personally do not count them, but I am not overdoing on the carbs right now anyway.
