Default I smell good on Atkins

I'm ending the first two weeks on Atkins. I started noticing about a week ago that I smell better than usual. I haven't had a major BO problem, but I do get sweaty and can tell. I normally get sweaty just sitting at the PC and doing other normal activities.

Lately, I've noticed a remarkable decrease in the sweating and an improvement in smell (I don't need that extra bath or deodorants used in odd places/ways or down chlorophyll). I even survived an 86 degree day without much ado.

I am assuming it's because of the decrease in sugar, or could it be something else? Either way, I'm happy with this 'side effect'

When I first tried Atkins many years ago, I noticed that I seemed much less attractive to mosquitos than the people around me. I'm hoping that's the case now that I'm back on the wagon.

I'd say sugar is first....sugar feeds bacteria. Maybe a lack of grains, too! Either way, it's great!

Interesting side observation: I've read that feeding a dog raw meat and NO grains etc. makes it so the dog has no bad breath and no bad body odors. I've seen it with my niece's dogs, who eat this way.

So interesting....growing up, I was always the one who got attacked by squitoes when no one around me did. I never paid attention since I've been on low-carb. I know that some mosquito catching equipment puts out carbon dioxide to attract the bugs to it. I know that glucose metabolism in humans creates a water molecule and some Co2 molecules. Perhaps glucose metabolism puts out more Co2 than fat metabolism, thus we become mosquito magnets.

SO does that mean that, my eating low carb we are producing less CO2 and this preventing global warming! Yay, we're environmentalists too!

I noticed that I smell different. Less "yeasty" or old stale corn chip-ish. My breath, however reeks. Ug.

probably those ketones...ketone breath can be a good sign that you are in the fat burning zone although it tends to keep people at arms length
