Well, maybe. The only things that YOU can control are what goes into your mouth and that you follow your plan exactly. Unfortunately we are not in control of how our body responds. And losing weight is not always a straight line downward even if you stick absolutely to low carb foods and follow the plan to the letter.

Setting goals is a sure way to great frustration and stress. If you could aim towards half of that loss as a goal, I would think there is a fairly good chance of achieving it. There is one good thing about LCing: you may LOOK and BE smaller at a higher weight because LC helps you lose fat while preserving or even developing lean, sleek muscle tissue which is much smaller than the fluffy fat it replaces.

So determine how strictly you think you will stick with the plan and warn the dress maker that you will be trying to lose weight all year. They may have advice as to what style is best for adjusting. Many places need an order MONTHS ahead of the date to guarantee the delivery.

I hope you succeed beyond your wildest hopes and make a beautiful bride.

I think it's totally possible, but be super careful about buying a dress too small, thinking you'll get into it eventually. You don't know what you're measurements will be, and yes, they can alter the dress, but if it has to be altered too much, it may change the look of your dress into something you didn't want. My advice on the dress thing would be to get all of the 10,000 other things done for the wedding, and put off buying the dress until a couple of months (at the most) before your wedding date, so you are buying a realistic size/style for your body at that time.

Good luck and congrats on setting your date!
Nicole
