Default Eggs?Wine?

Two topics that I always get confused about..
Firstly, eggs. How many eggs are too many?? Some days I use eggs quite a lot and can have maybe 3 a day. Is this ok?
Secondly wine. I hear two reasons not to drink it. 1, that it spikes your b sugars which will lead to cravings. And 2, that it stops the fat burning process and goes to alcohol burning mode. But I also read that it does not stop the fat burning process at all and that the main reason to abstain is to avoid putting yoursef in a position that you would crave sweets...
I am just about to start week 2 of induction and have lost 5cm off my waist! Will weigh in at end of induction...feel so much better, full of energy, not hungry, and am very pleased that my induction flu has passed. That was bad, nausea and headaches to the point that I was physically sick!!!!
I am new to this forum and appreciate any advise and am a bit of question asker so hope you guys bear with me!

Eggs are fine. I have 4 every morning. Sometimes I eat them again for dinner.

Some people drink wine, but you would probably lose better if you left it off for now if you are at all able to.

Which book are you following?

thank you beez. Am following dandr and am keeping it very clean, not having any atkins products etc.
this is my 2nd time round with the book. first time I lost 40lbs, felt very good but looking back now I fell at the OWL hurdle. I think i may have a very low carb level and so while i introduced foods back at the right time, i just couldnt keep losing or even maintaining. Some weight has come back on, although i do feel i manage to keep the 'bulk' of it off!
Am glad about the eggs answer...i do love eggs and i cook with them most days. And as for wine, i just wondered about the science behind the statements,
thanks again

Congratulations on getting off to a good start this time.

Ditto on the eggs. The hysteria about eggs (as I recall) had to do with the amount of fat in the yolks and how that promoted "bad" cholesterol--old news, and certainly not a factor in low-carb eating.

In my long experience with weight management, and successful low-carbing, wine has never seemed to have much effect one way or another on gains or losses. For that reason, I can talk myself into being rather casual about it.

Unfortunately, it's one of those things to which I am easily habituated. "Just one glass" almost always leads to two. "A glass on Friday" will eventually lead to a glass on Saturday and Sunday. You get the picture. I'm better off just leaving it alone, or assigning it to VERY special occasions.

Alcohol does appear on the carb ladder, and many experts suggest that "moderate" alcohol consumption is even healthy.

You decide for yourself.
Best wishes.

But seriously.. It's really great to pinpoint any triggers and anything that will stall you right from the get go.. And add it back slowly when your plan of choice allows and see how that goes.

As for eggs.. HAVE AT 'EM! They're a wonderful amazing source of protein and other nutrients and vitamins for your body. I love eggs and I actually feel great when I eat them. They're (IMO) a light way to start my day and also feel pretty satiated depending on how I eat them (mayo, butter, or cream cheese) until lunch time. So eat em!

Congrats so far, btw!!!!!! You're off to a wonderful start!
