Default Does anyone else get cold flashes?

For a few years I've gotten freezing cold at odd times, I figured its related to my thyroid somehow. Now I'm on hormones for peri-menopause, on for 2 weeks/off for 2 weeks. The weeks that I'm off I start getting cold flashes again. I've read that some women get these instead of hot flashes and wondered if hypothyroidism has anything to do with it.

I've started taking my temperature as a guide to my thyroid status. I have thyroid pills in two strengths and I'm using temperature to try to figure out how much to take of which. Not easy since it takes a good 4 weeks for levels to even out.

Anyway, I get cold if my temperature is low, which leads me to believe it's a hypot symptom. But during the hot summer, it actually works to my advantage!

Lately my temperature has been 96.5 on rising. I'd like to see that at 97-97.3. Of course it'll go up .5 degree once I ovulate.

My temperature is at least a degree below normal...i wake up FREEZING...have no cold tolerance anymore...

I went to the doctor because i also thought "thyroid."

Had everything checked and I'm healthy as a horse.

I'm thinking maybe I just have poor circulation. (runs in my family)

Also, LC lowered my BP...and I wonder if that has an effect on circulation as well?

I wear socks to bed now.

I asked the question then I notice my hairs falling out again. I just can't seem to get it straight. When I feel good the number isn't right, when I lower my medication to the 'right' number I have goosebumps when its 100 degrees and my hair falls out. I've been at this way too long to be this messed up.

I think I will start taking my temperature again. I have a hard time knowing whats menopause whats thyroid whats pms....
