Default cauliflower pizza

I made the cauliflower pizza today. I put on it red onion, red pepper, perdue chicken and mozz. cheese. It was so good.

You can find the Cauliflower Pizza Crust recipe, along with many other yummy ideas, on Cleochatra's blog. Just scroll down the page until you see the list of recipes in the right hand margin.

Can I use riced cauliflower in place of macaroni in my gourmet four-cheese mac and cheese recipe??

This thread made me wonder...

Chell, a great sub for macaroni is actually extra-firm tofu. If you drain it wel and cut it into small strips the size of macaroni noodles, it really does make an awesome substitute.

I made it today. It was my first time so I definatly have some personal tweaks for next time. But I have to say it is a great substitute. BTW I found the crust to be firmer and just taste better after it sat and cooled for a few moments rather than eating piping hot.

Below is Cleo's note from her recipe:

Quote:
Notes:

*I use frozen cauliflower prepared according to package directions. After cooked and slightly cooled, I shred cauliflower with a cheese grater, and then measure for the recipe. (Don't pack down the cup with cauliflower. Just fill it with a spoon or the cup itself.)

Yea but thats the thing, according to what package instructions? Didnt see any (was using raw not frozen)

Either way I put it in the microwave for a couple of minutes and then added eggs etc. Turned out good but need to tune it since the cauliflower had a microwavy taste to it, I wonder if I can stir fry it a little then bake? (I like the taste of fried cauliflower more than steamed or microwaved.

I thaw it on defrost in the microwave, just long enough to thaw and barely warm up. Then I chop and proceed with the recipe. I love this recipe, but if the cauliflower is too strong a taste try it with zuchini. The flavor is milder and it is also really yummy.
