Default Want to take part in a study of this WOE?

On another board someone posted information about a study being conducted by the Albert Einstein School of Medicine in New York City. It's to be an online epidemiological study. If you participate in the study you will be asked to fill out a baseline questionnaire and then a follow up questionnaire at the end of three months. Thereafter there will be questionnaires requested at the end of each year for 3 to 5 years. They also want you to have your doctor record your height and weight right now and at the end of each year.

The study is called the Controlled Carbohydrate Assessment Registry Bank Study (CCARB) with funding provided by the Robert Atkins Foundation.

To me it sounds like a great opportunity to take part in a study to test the health benefits of this way of eating. Here is the link if you think it might interest you.

I joined the study too! Another way to commit to this WOL! Research is the key to making this lifestyle more accessable to the majority of people.

Yay! I qualified, too. I wonder how many people they're trying to get.

I'm not sure how many people they want, but I suspect it is a very large number. The original post included a letter they had sent out to everyone who had responded to an earlier poll, and that poll had several thousand respondants, so they must be aiming high. I think that this kind of study improves in validity as the numbers go up.
