I had stomach pain for years, went to two specialists and had two gastrascopes, and was told I had IBS and then GERD. However, from my own research neither of those dx's sounded right to me.
Then I went lC for my PCOS and IR and after about 2 months my pain went away. All I needed to keep the pain at bay was a cup of peppermint tea in the morning.
Then during Christmas I ate really badly, and the pain came back. Now I am S L O W L Y getting back on track and my stomach's getting better.
So theres a definite connection between carbs and stomach pain for sure. Atkins mentioned it in his CNN interview and Schwartzbean also talks about it.
