Surgery was a success and I have the ok to exercise when I feel up to it. I figure some gentle cycling tomorrow on the indoor bike is a good start.

I did a half hour on the indoor bike today. Kept it at a decent pace but not too strenuous.

A half hour on the bike at a slower than normal, steady pace. And a 5 minute upper body light weight segment of a dvd. I need to go through my dvds to see if there are any with more upper body weight stuff or I'll need to do this one 2-3 times and use heavier weights.

DH and I went to the nearby park to ride the flat roads since I shouldn't be doing any hills till I'm healed all the way. I got just a hair over 11 miles.

I'll be doing a short upper body weights routine from a dvd in a little while....

I haven't done much the past few days...still feeling good after surgery but get tired faster. Trying to get the house cleaned top to bottom so I can spend the summer in the pool instead of cleaning!

I'll be doing some time on the indoor bike in just a little while. And maybe I'll do the light hand weight segment from a dvd.

I see the surgeon for a follow up on Thursday and I'm hoping he gives the ok to bike outdoors! And to use heavier weights soon! Not that I use really heavy but using 2 lb. weights makes me feel like more of a weinie than I really am!

I've been doing some time on the indoor bike and got the ok for outdoor riding so yesterday I did an 18 mile ride in the nearby park. I told the dr. I would ride in the park for a few days before heading out to the hillier country roads. Can't go today due to high winds and waiting for the pool installers to bring a load of sand so I'll be using the treadmill and the rebounder for cardio and doing some of the weights exercises using lighter weights - have to stay lighter for a few more weeks to be sure everything is all healed.

Busy weekend with not a lot of exercise. I did get some indoor bike time a few times and I did some weights but still not back to the regular workouts.

I got out for a bike ride today but forgot the bike computer. I figured I rode about 11-12 miles. Next week I'm going to get back to my regular biking and weights exercises. Can't wait!

Yesterday I did weights and a half hour on the bike downstairs.

Today I went out for a bike ride in between rain showers. I got sprinkled on the last half of the ride but made it home before the next downpour!

Took Sat. off, didn't feel like doing anything.

Yesterday I had an 18.90 mile bike ride.

Today I had a 27.56 mile bike ride and did weights.

I moved up the amount of weight for each exercise and did one set. I'll keep this for this week and next week and then add another set. I don't want to push too much with the weights yet because it's only been 3 weeks since surgery.

Yesterday I ended up bringing my downstairs bike and training stand upstairs and out to the driveway to "ride". I could still be outdoors and in the wind without being blown off my bike on the roads!

I put on some headphones and enjoyed the view of the neighboring farm as I pedaled and listened to some of my favorite walking music.

Today is a rest day....

Last Friday I did weights and biking in the basement. Took the weekend off due to deck building party and overnight guests.

Today I did a 20.81 mile bike ride and will be doing weights shortly.
