Question too much weight loss?

I've been on induction for 11 days now and i've lost 9 pounds. Is this too much?? It sounds like it, but I feel great.

Netty...
Congrats. Actually that is not too much loss. I had gone back onto induction after the holidays and after 2 days I had a loss of 6 pounds. Most of the weight at first is water. As the fat is liberated there is water released. The composition of our body is that when fat is stored, it requires storage of water with it.

Keep up the good work and hang in there. The loss will slow after a bit.

Congrats on the loss, Netty! 9 lbs seems like a lot, and if that were to continue then I'd say it's time to add in some carbs to slow it down a little, but as ptjody stated, the bulk is water during the first few weeks. Once you've lost the water bloat the losses should slow down.

On average you lose 10% of the weight you want to lose during Induction, you're way ahead of that with 9 lbs. 5% is 'average' for the months following Induction, so don't be surprized when your losses slow to a more 'average' rate.

Slower is actually better; it allows you to learn your new WOE (way of eating) and make it your new WOL (way of life), ensuring that when you do reach your desired weight you've learned how to maintain it!

Cheers,
Nat

Hi Netty
What were you eating to make you lose weight so fast?
I lost 5 pound in 4 days.

for example my breakfast would be two eggs, and one turkey saugage, and Lunch I would have a small piece of chicken with little mayo, and 1/2 cup vegs, and maybe 2oz of cheese, dinner I would have a steak with cream cheese and chives and 1/2 cup vegs.
also 8 glasses of water.

I did lose 5 pounds and need 15 more to go to make my goal, for now, maybe try to head for 121.

I am 5 foot 2, I see you would like to go to 110, how tall r you? ...ha ha what is 153cm? Have a great day...and good luck, we sure need the support.
