Question Day 4 on Induction - Does Skoal have sugar?

I've followed all the rules for the past four days. I dropped 6 lbs the first two day (water I'm sure) and 2 more pounds the next two days. My goal is to get my test strips deep purple ASAP.

However, yesterday I had a thought while I was using my smokeless tobacco (no comments please). I don't really know what's in this stuff besides tobacco and wondered if there was any sugar mixed in.

Perhaps someone knows the answer or can point me where to find out.

I have no idea about the ingrediants of chewing tobacco, but I do know that you don't want dark purple on your strips. Dark purple means that you are dehydrated and not drinking enough water. As long as you show any color other than neutral, even the lightest pink, you are in ketosis.

Unhappy The answer is YES

Ran my own little test. Mid day 4 I put away the Skoal. Test strips were reading trace or slightly towards low. 24 hours later (day 5), I tested again and was moderate to strong.

Next, I used some Skoal over the next few hours and didn't cheat with any extra carbs. The next morning, Day 6 I tested again. The results were positive for sugar in Skoal as my strip read trace.

I really like my Skoal, but right now, I hate sugar. The Skoal goes along with the pounds.
