Question Soy Milk??

I've read that soy milk is high in carbs. Should I avoid it all together or can i mix a little in with my protein shakes? During induction??

Post soy milk

Hi Netty,
Don't think soy milk is too bad for carbs, especially if you use it in baking (muffins and cakes etc). On my cartons it says 1.9 carbs in 100mls. I have been on induction for six weeks and used it in moderation. Hope this helps

Thumbs up

Hi Netty,

I think it differs per brand and whether or not the soy milk is sweetened or unsweetend.

I recently switched from using cream in my hot drinks to soy milk as the cream had 2.8 carbs per 100ml and the soy milk had only 0.4. The other benefit is the calories. Cream has around 445 KCal per 100ml where as soy milk is around 40Kcal.

Hope this helps.
