Question Question about FitDay.com

Hi! I signed up at Fitday.com and recorded yesterday's and todays meals. When I explored the site further, I noticed that Fitday preaches the same old low-fat, high-carb line. Is there no way to make it more suitable for LCing? Or do we just use it for recording purposes. I also noticed that it doesn't automatically subtract fiber from the carb total, but at least it list the amount of fiber.

I noticed something very interesting though. I thought I was eating a whole lot more calories than I was! I only ate about 1200 calories yesterday and 1300 today. And I'm STILL not hungry!

Fitday definitely is not about low-carbing, but it is an excellent way to track what you are eating and some of the reports are excellent.

It helped me identify the best foods to eat, and I can check something out before I eat it.

I'm not aware of another site that tracks nutrition like this.

There's a section in Fitday that lets you record your personal nutritional goals - i.e. grams of protein, carbs, etc. It then allows you to view a report that compares what you've eaten that day to your goals. And yes, you do have to make a calculation to subtract the fiber. If you want to invest the time (I never have) I'm pretty sure you can modify the information for any given food. You can certainly add your own food with the nutritional information on the package. This is also a good way to check for any hidden carbs that the manufacturer neglected to tell you about.
