I would not recommend trying anything drastic. The only people from whom the weight "just melts off" is people who have a lot of weight to lose, and don't have any medications, ailments, etc slowing their metabolism. It's rare. Once you're within 20 lbs of your goal weight, it is a battle. Why? Because technically, you're already at a healthy weight. Your body does not give up it's last fat stores easily at all.

Congrats on your success so far.

...but it's slow-going here on in. Be patient; the faster the weight comes off, the more likely you are to regain it!

Hang in there!

Thumbs up Way to Go!

4+3+1+0=8 lbs in a month--That's something to be proud about! Some folks steadily (ie. 1 or 2 lbs./week), but many lose in spurts or "whooshes" as they're called. Don't worry, on Atkins it's common to go w/o losing for a week or two after 2 weeks of Induction... Your body will regroup--Stay strong, and you'll reap the reward of the whoosh fairy!

Hi Kanehi, you're doing really well.
Just to echo what you've already been told, our weight loss isn't a steady slope down. My own has been a series of zigzags and steps, but the overall pattern is down. Our bodies seem to need patches of 'sorting themselves out' before they're prepared to let go of any more.
One thing I was told, when I was stressing about just this, was about fat cells.

Seems fat cells are stubborn little beggars and when they lose fat, they hang onto water. They don't want to shrink, in case the fat comes back and they need to store it again. Takes them a while before they finally give up and then they let go of the water - you lose weight and shrink a bit. Then you lose some more fat and the next set of fat cells does the same.

Keep doing the right things, keep emptying those fat cells and just tell them the fat isn't coming back, so they may as well let go of that water too, LOL. They'll get the message

Take care, Jay
