i have no clue anymore what my bloodtype is. i had picked up the blood type diet books at a yard sale, brand new for .50 cents, read them, and it didn't really come off as feasible to me, so i sold the books on ebay for a small fortune instead, went on atkins, and never looked back.

I've never tried a blood type diet. I have done low fat/low cal and got fat. I've done and continue to do Atkins. I lost the weight and now maintain it by moving up the ladder. My blood type is also O-.

It might help if you realise that there is absolutely no scientific basis for anything that Dr A'Damo says about blood type.
I tend to be pretty suspicious when people make these wild claims without bothering to back them up with actual science. But...it has sold him a lot of books, and doubtless made him a rich man.
Dr Atkins became a rich man too, but his diet is based on solid science.

I'm B+ I don't think the blood type diet is very solid, either.

Isn't that about like saying, "Why didn't our ancestors or tribes around the world use Microsoft Office?" Blood typing didn't exist before 1901.

Rosebud

A beautiful theory, victim of a low-fact diet.

Yes, according to Dr. D'Adamo, we Type O are low-carb because we're less evolved from our hunter-gatherer ancestors.

Low-carb -- so easy a caveman could do it!
