This Morning:
5:50 a.m. - The usual - 40 minutes cardio (of which 20 mins HIIT)

This Evening:
New depletion / circuit program recorded for posterity
All reps 20 no rest, 4 or 5 sets 2 minutes rest between sets

Pushups
Flat press (barbell)
leg extensions
Widegrip lat pulldowns
hammer curls
hamstring curls
Military Press
Sumo Squats
Floor crunches
tricep kickbacks
Shrugs (barbell)
calf raises
incline flyes

To be preceeded by 40 minutes moderate cardio and followed by 6 hours of refeeding (20%P/76%C/4%F) - expecting a dextrose canker on my inner cheek like last time

Ladies, it's a fabulous new toy, but it has renewed John's interest in working out so now I must schedule my time - just like at a gym

Default Hey there...

Just checking out your journal... Congrats on the amazing progress!

By the way, thats a great new machine you've got there. If I had a machine like that, I dont think I'd ever leave the house! I'm attending college right now, so I mostly lift at the student recreation center.

I swear I am the ONLY female to venture out of the cardio room, and into the weight room. It's always amusing when well meaning guys try to "give me a hand" with things. Half of them couldn't have good form to save their lives, yet they want to "give me a hand". Heh... Men are great.

Anyway... Congrats again, and keep up the good work!

-Michelle

Default thanks

thanks nat for the kind words. From you they mean alot. I just took a peek at what your doing and I feel like I am not doing anything compared to you. How do you keep that pace up. I think if I stopped taking care of the kids and cleaning the house I might have time to do more. Your incredible. You go girl.

Default End of week 5

Finished off week 5 with 40 minutes of a.m. cardio at 9:30 this morning. Planning a hard and heavy upper body workout this afternoon. Just love doing back and triceps with the new toy!

As this was the end of week 5 I figured it was time to do some stock taking as it's been a good 2 months. (Worked out every morning with exception of Friday when I was fasting for bloodwork.)

Inchest lost since last measuring (Aug. 31): 16.35
Lbs lost since last weigh in (Aug. 31): 22lbs
some changes of note :
2" off torso (under bust)
3" off belly button region, at pubic bone, 2.5 at hips at widest point
1" off each thigh and each arm

Putting the measuring sticks away for the next 6/7 weeks and resigned to the fact that the black new years' dress I bought in August is not going to fit. Woe is me, more shopping

Nat

Default Barbell Lunges rule!

Did an a.m. cardio workout this morning (30 Minutes) and a second tonight as warmup prior to a LBWO.

Tried lunges with the olympic bar - balance was soooooo much better than with dumbbells. Would have thought the reverse was true.

Worked the quads (squats - reg and sumo, extensions) and hammies (lunges and drop set curls -ouchies) and calves.

TOM is due this week - I think. Will be getting more sleep and more calories to try to compensate. Feeling very un-TOM though.

Default Lunged to death

Well I'm hobbling around from yesterday's lower body massacre. I did my am cardio this morning and then I destroyed biceps and triceps tonight with super and giant sets. All in preparation for tomorrows Hep a&b shot. Yay. Not.

PMS? not really - but If you put a horse in front of me I'd beat a school of pirranahs to it

Stairs aren't the worst of it... I kept dropping things today and I was wearing boots with heals... the stretch in my hamstrings was almost more than I could bare During a staff meeting today I kept whimpering everytime I had to cross and uncross my legs. It was funny, even if it wasn't pretty to watch.

Default Anticipating Pain

New workout tonight, from abcbodybuilding "8 weeks to bigger pecs". Moderately heavy weights with high reps and 3-4 sets, designed for maximal TUT to stimulate growth, using static contraction and rest pause to fatigue past failure. Ouch is all I can say.

Chest :
Incline barbell presses, 3 sets, 12, 10 and 8 reps (75 lbs)
Flat barbell presses, 4 sets, 12, 12 10 and 10 reps (75 lbs)
flat flyes, 1 full rep and 2 half reps = 1 rep, 2 sets, 12 reps each (30 lbs) - one last set of 15 reps with 20 lbs to stretch the chest.

Back:
Wide grip lat pull downs, 3 sets, 12 reps (60 lbs)
Reverse narrow grip lat pull downs, 3 sets, 12 reps (60 lbs)
Revese flyes, 3 sets, 12 reps (20 lbs)
Shrugs, 3 sets, 12 reps, (30 lbs)

As I said... anticipating some pain tomorrow. Legs are finally whimper free

Nat

p.s. Oh yeah, 30 MAS at 6 am. this morning!

Default And I thought I was sore last week....

Well today I decided to really challenge myself. I know I'm strong - a lot stronger than I've been lifting lately, even with the new equipment. The next 48 hours are going to hurt.

Cardio: 20 minutes guerrila cardio - 30 sec intervals

LBWO: Static contractions, heavy weights, 4 sets, moderate reps and a few forced negatives and drop sets thrown in for good (sore) measure

Squats, 4 sets, 10 reps, static hold on last rep, 30 seconds
10x45 lbs warmup set
10x90 lbs
8x105 lbs
6x115 lbs
6x120 lbs

Lunges, just because the bar was so light with just 55 lbs!
10x55 lbs
10x55 lbs

Leg extensions, static hold on rep 5 and 10, 30 seconds
10x90 lbs
10x80 lbs
10x70 lbs
15x50 lbs

Hamstring curls, static hold on last rep, 20 seconds, drop sets to failure
10x90lbs
10x70lbs
12x55 lbs (forced negatives)
14x45 lbs (toes pointed full rep)

supersetted w/ calf raises, no weights, 'til failure

Drank a tonne of water, downed some glutamine and ate some sugar right after. Followed by breakfast (chicken and oatmeal )

This one is gonna hurt.
Nat

p.s. Jerry, I'll drop you an e-mail this weekend.
