Smile Thank you, thank you, thank you

To everyone who posts to this board:

You will never know how much the support I have gotten from all of you means to me, but I'm going to try to give you a least an idea:

I tried this lifestyle over 7 years ago after being diagnosed with Type II Diabetes, but couldn't stick with it past 3-4 months, so gave up.

This time around, I was lucky enough to stumble across this forum.

The two things I've gotten from all of you that have helped me the most are:
1-"Progress, not perfection" --Karen
2-"You can't win the game if you quit playing" --Doreen T

I've been mostly on target since April 2002. There are times when the carb cravings get the best of me and I go on a binge for a week or more. However, because of this support group, I don't give up permanently; I try to find a solution to getting back on track. Right now, that consists of a combination of Canola oil by the tablespoon, Metabolift, and 5htp. I am not made to feel like I'm cheating if I use an appetite suppressant--an opinion NOT held by my doctor!!!!

Because of diversity of people's views, opinions, and struggles, I don't feel like a permanent failure. Even if I can't be perfect, I can at least limit the amount of damage that the diabetes does by not having high blood sugars all the time. Every day I can stay on lowcarb means I live and keep all my limbs that much longer .

Thank you all.
