Default Have you tried this protein powder?

Has anyone here tried Twinfast protein powder? (Not Slim-Fast). It has about 80 calories and 5 grams carbohydrate per serving. I want to use it for breakfast shakes.

Since I live out of the US, I have little choice of what to buy but did find this locally.

Iīd like to know if it tastes good, mixes well, etc., before I pay the big price for it. I am using some Whey powder now that I got on a visit to the Us and really like it. Unfortunately, I canīt get it here and itīs just too expensive to buy it and have it shipped.
Thanks!!

What is the protein content? That is important. 5 carbs is rather high. I prefer the ones with only 2 or 3 grams per scoop.

Right now, I am loving a brand called Perfect Isopure Low Carb, made by Nature's Best in Hauppage, NY & distributed in Canada by Body Plus in Toronto. It is sweetened with Splenda and has 30 gm of protein and only 1.4 gm of carbs per scoop. I like the carb count and the taste is great. Also prefer that it is Whey Protein Isolate.

Where do you live? Perhaps other members from your country could help.

The Designer Protein is also very good & has several flavours.

I understand that 5 is a little high but itīs not like I have lots to choose from. It might be better than nothing. I was just curious if anyone had tried this particular brand found here in Sweden.

I just found out that the chocolate flavor has 16 grams of protein per serving. Is that a little low?

I think that is VERY low. And it makes the carb to protein ratio very poor.
Most of the powders that LCers use are 28-30 grams of protein and only 2-3 grams of carbs. Most of that comes from the sweetener and flavourings.

To get 30 grams of protein, you'd have to have 2 servings and that would mean 10 grams of carbs. Pretty "expensive" shake in terms of carbs.

Honestly, I really think that you'd be better off sticking to real food. If you don't like eggs, try some other recipes for omelettes (see the recipe section) or make quiches or special muffins. Or cook extra meat for dinner so you have leftovers for the next day. Who says you have to eat breakfast foods for breakfast?

I hope this helps. Sorry that your choice is limited now, but it may be a blessing in disguise as it will teach you how to eat in the real world.

All the best.
