Default Heavy Cream & Water as sub for Milk

Hello! In reading through this forum, I saw a mention of mixing heavy cream w/water to use as a substitute for milk. What proportions should I use if I was to use this in coffee? I found the taste of straight heavy cream to be too strong in my coffee this morning.

For most purposes, you use one part of heavy cream to one part of water as a substitute for milk in recipes, coffee, etc. Good Luck! Cindi

Default Almond Milk

BillT posted a great recipe for Almond Milk last year. I made it just the other day. Sure, you can't have it RIGHT AWAY (as it requires steeping in hot water), but it's SUPER easy to make and tastes GREAT. I have 2 coffee grinders in my kitchen. One for coffee and one for nuts/spices. It works great for grinding almonds for either Almond Milk or Almond Flour.

Thanks for your reply Azure. I might give the recipe a try. One question, do you store the almond milk as you would cow's milk (i.e. in the fridge)?

I'm not really sure if you have to. But I do, because I prefer my milk cold.
