Question Quick Cheese Carb Question

OK--if on the package of something, like cheese, lets say it says 1 gram of cabrs, but zero% does that count as a carb or no? OK thanks! and does anyone know, is swiss better than mozarella or vice versa or what? also, what cheese would u say is the best for a LC diet? thanks a lot!

If you click on the link to your right that says "Carbohydrate Counter" you can do a sort of the lowest carb food by category. In other words, you can look at "Dairy Products" and have it sort by lowest to highest and find the answer to your question about which cheeses are better than others!!

As for the carb count on the label, always go by the number of grams, not the %. The percent reflects recommendations of the food pyramid, which we pay ZERO attention to around here!

thanks so much for that help! so when you count your grams of carbs you completely just go by what the nutrition info on the back says about grams of carbs?

It depends on if you are following Atkins or PP. Atkins allows for high fat dairy products and PP limits them.

And yes, you only look at grams, not percentages.
