Thumbs up Is there a whey protein that contain no lactose and no sugar at all ?

Has i stated before i am lactose intolerent and i really get blowted of i eat cheese or some other dairy product, can you beleive i actually like the taste of soy ice cream Lol.

When i went to my chiroprator for my back pains he got me on a short diet, its basicaly foods you cant mix togheter, and he told me about lactose and dairy foods.

I dont wanna go overboard on protein and still wanna keep my ketogenic diet fat base, but i think that at 200 pounds i should be eating more then 100g of protein a day.

Dan in BodyOpus says that whey protein might cause an insuline rise, i dont wanna be kicked out of ketosis.

I was wondering if such whey protein powder exist i know that the taste must be awful no sugar.

Most whey protein i saw add sweetners added sucrose and 3g of carbs, this means i would be taking in 9g of carbs extra with 3 scoops of protein , i know that BodyOpus say to keep it close to 12g a day.

Can i get by in bodyopus CKD without a protein powder?

Thanks

Try a soy based powder. There are several, one that I like is from Met-Rx. No milk products.

Post Clear Whey Drinks

There are some TASTY pure whey, ready-to-drink products out there which contain NO SUGARS, NO LACTOSE, NO ASPERTAME just 100% whey protein isolate. ZERO carbs.

My favorites are Isopure's - click here for details

These drinks contain: 40 grams of microfiltered whey protein isolate, 0 carbs, 0 fat, 0 hidden surprises.

But I use EAS' Precision Protein ready-to-drink, because I found a cheap vendor for it on the net...
Vitaglo - 20% off EAS products if you order $100 bucks worth AND free shipping
...and because they have a nice concentration of BCAAs. I like these with glutamine after my weights.

These are NOT powders, they are pre-mixed and ready to drink. I like the fact that it's such an EASY, painless way to get my gram-per-pound of protein... They are delicious! Almost TOO easy to drink...

Good luck!
Trilbe

FYI - I'm not a CKD'r. I'm a BFL'r who is controlling her carbs...

Optimum nutrition 100% whey, has low lactose (99.8% lactose free) and will only cause a reaction in the most serious cases of intolerance.

Its also cheap, and has a great BCAA profile.

I will second Yanick's opinion. The Optimum is also low carb, <2g per 20 grams of protein. They taste pretty good and can easily be mixed with a spoon.

Thumbs up thanks everyone i will look into this

I am not sure if i want to inverst in some powder right now, seems that the carb up might be the problem, i dont have tone of fat to lose and am losing way to quickly.

I am gonna try to eat my protein from good foods and check my progress.

I have noted the brand that you people gave me and will look these up.

Protein in canada good ones can be very expensive.

Thank you all
