DH went to urgent care on 10/1 because he thought he had a hernia, which he does, a minor umbilical hernia. But when they were taking his vitals, the doctor heard something odd, and hooked him to the EKG. They took him right to the ER. His initial heart rate was 165, which was at 180 by the time they admitted him. They've gotten his heart rate slowed down quite a bit, but we're still worried about the A-fib. His doctor is so laid back "Oh, I have patients that live with this, and they are golfing every day, and going to Europe." Great, but they're 70 and retired. Not 46 and not able to work. That's why we're seeing another cardiologist on 1/4. He's with the AZ Heart Institute, for his initial assessment. They have dozens of cardiologists on staff, and I'm sure he's going to end up working with a heart rhythm specialist. It can't come soon enough for me!
