Default 2 questions

ok, hello. my first question is about alcohol. i know drinking is not the best thing in the world to do. but i am going out on sunday and i had a question. i was curoius about carb count in bottled drinks (not wine coolers). last time i had doc's hard lemonade. i splurged. (my first in 3 weeks) but i was wondering about that. in case anyone knows. i did check on fitday that straight liquor is ok on carbs. vodka, rum, ect. but does that include malibu rum? i am full of questions. i guess it was more than 1!
#2. how can i add a picture to my profile? i didn't have one when i signed up, but i was wondering if it's still possible!
thanks!

Hi Rachel,

It took me over 6 months to add my piccie, so yes, it's possible.
This thread explains the ins and outs.

All I know about Malibu rum is that it's coconut flavoured. Sounds as though it may also be sweet, in which case you need to avoid it. Straight spirits are carb free so you are best to stick with them or dry wines unless you know exactly what is in a drink.

Of course, I presume you realise that the body will use alcohol as fuel before food, therefore slowing down fat burning.

Cheers.

Rosebud

Question about pictures

Hi Rosebud, I've read the instructions several times but nothing seems to work. How did you attach the little roses (which I love) beside your name? Thanks, Nancy

Hi Nancy,

The little roses are easy - just look in the Smilies box.

As for your pic probs - I'm about the last person to ask for help. I'm, shall we say, technically challenged?

If you go to the thread I gave about posting pics or avatars, just post your question(s) there and the wonderful Doreen or Tamarian (our administrators) will be along to help.

Cheers!

Rosebud

Your body, when in ketosis, can break down the alcohol much FASTER into the intoxicating components. So the effect is STRONGER and the day after is much less fun.

By the way, check the sugar content of those 'flavoured alcoholic drinks'. There is LOTS of it. The best drinks are spirits like rum, gin or vodka and a DIET SOFT DRINK like cola or tonic.
