Default Attn Newbies! Come see my weight loss chart!

Hey all you newbies....and not-so-newbies!

I remember when i was just starting out that one of the mentors referred me to their weight loss chart....and I was amazed at how weight loss DOESN'T occur in a straight line! It helps to see it graphically for some reason. Now I want to share mine with you.... talk about a zig-zag job!!

Sorry for the quality of the pic.... but you get the idea!

By the way...the straight dotted line downward is a 1/2 lb loss per week average, graphed out. I consider that a healthy, do-able rate of loss for me and I'm pretty much on target....but not without some diversions!!

Thanks, Terri, that IS inspiring!

I was looking at my graph and I tend to loose some, hit a plateau for a few days, then lose some more...I guess you really have to look at the bigger picture and the long term.

That one pic says it all! : )

Thanks for sharing!

Cool: glad you posted that, Teri! Zig zag, indeed! I see several two- and three- pound gains that were merely part of the process. The TREND was downward.

I linked this thread to someone else's question already.

Teri are you sure that one is yours? Mine looked just like that until I stopped keeping track All the zig zags made me dizzy so I stopped charting mine.

Very enlightening when you track day by day. It just goes to show....your mind may "think" it has control, but it is your body that actually rules.

Great post

AC - EVERYONE's looks like that....only some people have a better sense of balance to keep track!

As a matter of fact....anyone else who's kept a chart is invited to post it in this thread.... 'cause I know it's not just me!!

Teri, thanks so much! This is *exactly* what I have been dealing with, and never saw anyone talking about it...I recently posted about it in another thread in the newbie's site.

This was quite encouraging to me.

BTW, great dog!!!!!!!!!!

SOURPICKLE - I know! I felt the same way when I was starting out....like "WHEW! This is normal!"
Yeah, my doggie is the best one on the planet. We wuv her.

MARLAINE - Your chart is a LOT prettier than mine! But you're such an LC poster child anyway....I'd expect no less! That's a sight to behold, ain't it? Ever consider framing it?

Teri, you ROCK! Thanks for the great idea. I know that the one thing that keeps me going, even when I gained weight, is that the general direction is down down down!

Here's my weight chart from Fit Day

Teri......

LOL......frame it huh? Oh yeah.....maybe I should!!

I suspect the reason that you can't see Sandy's chart is because it's coming up in Quicktime which, maybe you don't have loaded on your computer??

Thumbs up Charts

I read somewhere on here about weight commander and ordered it. It has helped. It is also fun and has some good tips and help. I also learned to average out my weight weekly instead of focusing on each day so much. We all need all the help we can get. And thanks to all who do help!
