Default Things that we like

I keep realizing that at times we focus on the strange things that are happening with us in trying to break into this WOL.
Well I thought a little focus about what we like might be good.
1. I like my sleep patterns.
2. I like how they can have sweet treats out at work and I can ignore them.
3. I adore dark chocolate and the Ritz Carlton San Francisco staff gave me a lovely bar of dark chocolate. I still haven't FELT the need to open it.
4. my hair is shinier.
5. I am regular!
6. I feel fed for the first time in years!
Anyone else?

Wow Poofie! Look how far you've come in one short month! Isn't it great to feel so much better just because of different food? Give it a bit more time and you'll be amazed at what happens to your fingernails.

Happy eating.

Good lists so far While I love results, my true reason for doing this is my health. I have a few to add too:
1. I like that I am decreasing my chances of developing things that my parents have: diabetes, heart disease, hypertension.
2. I like seeing the slow unveiling of muscles that were hidden under all that blubber before and that I actually do have a waist somewhere in there!
3. I like not being tired all of the time. Not yawning and ready for a nap like all the other carboholics I know around 2 pm.
4. Having the energy to get everything done and then some. Making it up several flights of stairs without huffing and puffing.
5. I like that I have gone near people who have colds and haven't caught it yet! I always used to catch everything! Chalk that one up to vitamins I guess?

Great thread!!!

1. I like that I feel great all the time
2. I like that I feel in control of my life and my eating.
3. I like that I have already lost over 10 pounds.
4. I like that I can fit into some shorts that were really small on my last summer.

Count me in with TeriDoodle - I love this way of eating and I think I'm a lifer too

Great idea!

1) I like the fact I am 50 pounds lighter than a year ago
2) I like the fact I am a size 8 instead of a size 18.
3) I like the fact that my husband admires my new shape
4) I like the fact this has been so easy to take the weight off
5) I like the fact of how I feel

Definitely like that I've lost weight without ever feeling hungry or deprived (well ... there was that one day before my last TOM...).

I like that I can still cook up great gourmet meals and eat them while maintaining my "diet."

I LOVE the way I sleep at night.

And I like that overall I really do feel a lot healthier.

... just wish I could get over my stall

I like the fact that
1. I have some family that understand what this is all about and are doing it too. (My sister Poofie D introduced me to this.)
2. I like the way my skin and my nails are looking.
3. I like that I can eat the things that I really like and not miss the things that I aren't so good for me.
4. I like that fact that sweet doesn't taste good anymore.
5. I like planning my meals around meats and veggies and not starch anymore.
6. I like the fact that I can wake up earlier than I used to, and go to bed earlier.(I'm a real night owl).
7. I like it that nutrition is starting to make sense from what I learned years ago.

Thumbs up wow.. those are all things I want to look forward too!

I realized that probably why I started the thread.
To see what those that are further on down the road of this WOE would have to say about where they are!
:-)

This WOE means ....

never having to drink black coffee (gag!)
never having to drink skim milk (double gag!)
never having to eat lo-cal salad dressing (all taste like vinegar)
never having to eat lo-cal cheese (cardboard)
never having to remove the skin from chicken or the fat from steak

and best of all...

never having to spend the whole time I'm "dieting" thinking about going back eating "normally" !

My only regret is that I didn't become an LC believer sooner.
