Don't recall seeing this question anywhere, and i'm even reading the book again.

I am drinking at least a gallon a day of water, but am going to the restroom seems like every hour, all through the day, plus have to get up once in the middle of the night. Is this normal?

Hi there Olehickock,

Yes, what you are experiencing is entirely normal. We all tend to pee a lot around here.

It's not only a question of what goes in, must come out, but when you start low carbing there is a certain amount of natural diuresis happening as well.

Cheers!

I like to think of it as a little tiny bit of fat disappearing with each pee! That makes it a LOT less annoying!

Default hi olehickok

i'm fairly new at this myself

...remember that you lose a lot of electrolytes when you urinate. i too was going fiercly, seemed like every 10 minutes...and as a result i have weakness in my legs...because dopey me, wasn't taking vitamins & supplements.

be sure to eat veggies with potassium that helps and definitely a vit/suppl.

Default Low Carb bars (20 grams!!??, only 2 count??)

I went into the health food store and found a choc. brownie that taste pretty good. It has about 20 carbs but says only 2 count!! Is this right? Can i count that as only 2??? (it says the body eliminates the other 18 other something like that)

thanks for anyones' input.

Hi Ole,

It's one of those YMMV cases. The 18 carbs are "sugar alcohols." Have a look at "The truth about low carb sweeteners info" to the right of your screen for the full story on sugar alcohols.

Some folk here have no problems with the bars, but many find they are stallers.

LOL! This is great -- I'll remember this -- and will remind my wife when I get out of bed 2-3 times a night!
