Default Tuna fish on _____?

Hello all! I have been craving tuna fish on crackers or bread. So any ideas on what I can put my tuna fish on? I can't eat it plain. Too fishy/mayo-y. =)

Thanks in advance
Kirsten

Kirsten I like just plain tuna.. but I have been having it a little bit differently.. I add the mayo.. then sprinkle with Shredded cheese and heat up in the microwave until the cheese melts.. yumm. I am liking it more and more. I do the same thing with the canned chicken meat.. I am thinking of adding other items like scallions and tomatoes.. not sure if there is anything to put it on.. maybe celery.. but I do not like celery.. maybe someone else can help ya with that.

Aww, I know I said thanks in advance but that was so great of you guys responding so fast. I wanted to say thanks again. I tried it on celery and cucumber. Both satisfied my craving and wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, since I'm not a celery fan. Definately a keeper.

how about wrapped up in a big crispy romaine lettuce leaf? lettuce leaves make a pretty good ersatz bread/wrap/tortilla/pita bread/dip conduit in my opinion. it can get a little runny if you use a lot of mayo. you have been warned.

But of course you can! They're a great dipping vegetable.

Try this sauce for fish: grate daikon really finely and squeeze out the water add it to some soya sauce and a touch of vinegar. Black vinegar is great in this.

Have you ever tried this bebe? Simmer a duck or chicken in water to cover it by 4 inches until tender. Strain and skim the fat from the stock. Add chopped daikon and sliced ginger to the stock and season to taste with salt. Simmer until the daikon is tender. Pull the meat from the bird and cut it up. Add it to the soup along with a piece or two of soft tofu.

Delicious!

Karen

Default tuna

I mix tuna w/mayo, bit of scallion and toss it vigorously through lettuce. It has crunchy texture w/that yummy tuna.

my favorite for tuna fish and mayonaise is to put it on a "cheese cracker"....which of course is microwaving 1 to 1 1/2 oz. shredded cheese (i like cheddar) for 1 to 1:20 min. (On a "pam" sprayed plate.) I am eating one as I am typing this Very tasty and filling for a snack. Sometimes I mix in a little hard boiled egg or dill relish. You can add a little olive oil if you want to up your fat a little.

Talking CHEESE

Try it between 2 slices of cheese(not 2 many). It's my favorite. Especially American cheese!

Put a bit inside a slice of lunchmeat and roll it up. Or, use that cheese "cracker" idea, but roll it up around the filling. We use pork rinds for dips, too, and lettuce leaves for burger buns. Filled celery works, too.
