Default Am I Crazy?

Hi-
I am doing PPLP...while I am losing weight, I am permitted to have up to 40 carbs a day. Now I usually fall around 20 - 30 or so. If I go near 40 (like above 33) I freak out and I wont eat any more carbs. Am I obsessive or nuts for being like this? Am I selling myself short? I was wondering if anyone else felt this way or if anyone has .02 for me!
Thanks,
~Michelle

Michelle,

I don't think you are crazy or obsessed, just a little carb-shy, probably because you really want to make sure you lose weight. If you can eat 40 grams of carbs a day and lose weight, just try to relax and enjoy. If not, then you are right to stay at whatever level allows you to lose weight at the rate you want.

HTH,

Karla

Ditto what Karla said.... I usually stop a few carbs shy of my limit just to allow some fudge-factor in my counts. On the other hand... never turn down the opportunity to eat more good veggies because of carb count. In other words, if the broccoli is there, eat it! If you want a bigger salad, go for it!

Thumbs up

Thank you Karla and of course Teri (who is always there when I need her LOL). I just was a little worried I was overdoing it there!
