Default Vegetarians Critique Atkins Diet

"A vegetarian advocacy group says high-fat/low-carbohydrate diets - such as the Atkins diet - are dangerous and will launch an ad campaign later this week targeted at physicians and consumers. " Same old weak and unsubstantiated arguments. Here is the link. http://www.newsmax.com/archives/art.../30/62025.shtml

They are not just a vegetarian group, they are composed of low-fat diet book authors acting under the false name of "responsible" medicine.

Most likely the ad compaign will backfire against them, as it will motivate people to look at the facts.

PCRM also will launch a Web site - scheduled to premiere on Thursday - for consumers who have had problems with high-fat/low-carb diets to register their experiences. PCRM will compile this information to help evaluate these types of diets.
We should go on their website when it opens and register our successes. How can they "evaluate these types of diets" without boths sides being represented .

Boy they will stop at nothing, including mentioning Atkins heart trouble, which was caused by bacterial infection no less. Have they found a link between bacteria and low carb diets? If so they deserve a nobel prize.

Also as Tamarian mentioned the prmc is nothing but low fat fad diet gurus who have everything to lose by the truth comming out.

Of notable mention on the prmc's board

Ornish
McDougall
