Default Those lowcarb candy bars....more carbs than they say?

In doing research on the bars I've found at newsgroups all over the net today that those low carb Rx or Atkins bars actually have more carbs due to glycerin??

The posts were a couple years outdated so I thought I'd ask you guys.

Hi Ryan,

If you put the information off the wrapper into the Hidden Carb Counter, you will see that the bars have lots more carbs than they're telling you about! It's a good idea to use them ONLY for a special treat or avoid them altogether.

I agree with Ellie

If you eat those bars too much, you're gonna have a weight loss stall. I wouldn't recommend eating them at all during your induction phase at all.

If you're hungery during the indiction phase, grab a slim jim...they taste way better than Atkin bars, less carbs, and less money.

Im sorry, but while my wife like the Atkin bars, I personally think they all taste the same and after I do manage to eat one, my tongue goes numb for one hour...weird....not to mention that the bar taste like something is just plain interesting.

Hehe..sorry for the rambling.

Stick with cheese and meat for snacks ....or maybe a ultra low carb protein shake.
