Default Stopping BC Pills

I started taking birth control pills a year of so ago becuase of very painfull periods, it has helped - but I'd rather not be taking them. Will all the results that I have heard of TOM's normalizing on this diet, I am thinking of stopping them.

The two concerns I have are pain and acne. One of the side effects of taking the pills was to lessen (but not get rid of) the acne. Only since LC'ing has my face really cleared up.

Anyone out there stopped taking the pill after LC'ing - what are your experiences?

Hi there......

If you were perscribed BC pills by your physican, I think that going back to check with him/her, would be your best course of action. It's not advisable to stop any perscribed medication without your doctor's consent.

Unless BC pills are prescribed to help a medical condition, they are usually optional. I have PCOS and am taking BC pills for that, but my doctor has already given me the option to stop whenever I feel like it.

I'm planning on quitting mine in a few months to see what happens. It would be totally new to me to have a real normal period. I have never had a normal period in my life. But LCing is supposed to help that, so we'll see.

Good luck!
