Question Tanita scale batteries

Has anyone changed the batteries in their Tanita scale? I got a low battery signal on mine. I thought that it used lithium batteries but when I checked they are just regular AA's so I went and got some Duracell AA batteries. It won't work with the new batteries! I thought the batteries were duds so I tried them in one of my daughter's toys and they all work fine. I have tried them a bunch of times in the scale and it doesn't work, but if I put the original batteries back in it works! Yes, I'm putting them in the right way, I've tried about 20 times and my husband has tried too.

Does it take some special kind of AA batteries?! Am I missing something really obvious?!

Hi Deirdre,

Their site shows the personal scale uses AA batteries. You might want to call their 800 number for exact details and trouble shooting for your model.

Good luck

Apparently it's just the Duracells. I tried cheapy batteries and they work fine. The duracells seem to be a slightly different shape on the ends. Weird.
