Thumbs up Success not always in weight loss

Hi Everybody,

I wanted to let everyone know that after just 6 weeks on the atkins diet I have been able to discontinue my medication for diabetes (glucophage) It is now officially "diet controlled" and it feels wonderful to be able to have a source to battle this disease that really works!! I want to thak everyone who makes this forum possible, the support means a lot to me!

Regards,
Terri

Terri, that is great news. Thank you for posting it.

We can get so hung up on losing weight we forget about the health issues and it's wonderful to have such a positive story as a reminder. It must feel terrific to know you have more control over your health -- congratulations!!!!!

Cool Congrats!

Wow! Congrats. I am trying to get my insulin under control with this as well (I could not tolerate the glucophage). Your accomplishment has given me hope. Thanks and keep reaching towards the stars.

Betsy

Thumbs up Wonderful!!!!

That is the best news! I know meds are necessary sometimes, but isn't it wonderful to know that now you are healthy enough not to need them? I just hate the fact that meds often have side effects and can make you need something else to counteract that effect.

You can be so happy!

Thanks everyone for sharing in my success, I haven't had my A1C test yet but it is due soon! I also have PCOS, and hope for improvement in that area as well! Cheers to everybody!
