Default Carb Focus Potato Chips

This may have already been posted but I checked thru three pages of this board and didn't find anything about them. We just bought at Wal-Mart Carb Focus potato chips. We bought one bag of the Garlic Parmesan and let me tell you they are AWESOME! Just perfect for that "crunchy craving" we get sometimes. They are 9 net carbs for 1/3 of the bag. We got the small 1.5 oz. bag (42.5g). They are great dipped in sour cream. YUMMY! We are going back to try the BBQ and plain and I think there are a few other flavors. Anyone familiar with these?

Jill

I've actually never heard of or seen them. Is that 1/3 of the 1.5 oz bag? How many chips does that equate to approximately? 9 carbs just seems like a lot of carbs if that is the serving size (I'm stingy how I spend my daily alotment - ha ha). What are the ingredients?

yeah, i had to be the bearer of bad news, but the carb count is the SAME as regular potato chips. the serving size is 1/2. advertising scheme, that's all these potato chips are. buy regular potato chips and you'll see: 18 carbs per ounce with the fiber subtracted.

Darn! That's disappointing. Here's the info from the back of the bag:

Serving Size: 14g
Servings per Container 3

Calories: 60
Calories from fat: 20
Total fat: 2g
Saturated fat: 0g
Cholesterol: 0mg
Sodium 250mg
Total Carb: 10g
Dietary Fiber: 1g
Sugars: 1g
Protein: 1g

Figured it was too good to be true. Thanks for letting me know. Now I won't go out and buy more of them. *sigh*
