went to my local Tescos which is a one of the large ones in solihull inthe west midlands looking for the low carb range. Couldnt see anything asked but no one had any idea if they stocked the low carb range. was told to look by the organic section nothing, anyway after having a look round found the low carb pizza thats all their was by the normal fresh pizzas. you get 2 square slices for £1.99 which is a decent price for low carb products. it has 9.3 carbs per slice and I really liked it maybe because it feels like cheating that it was so nice, but thought it tasted great!

I do get rather annoyed by this. My Tescos had maybe 8 LC items in a tiny 'Carb Counter'. Half of that was empty. So just the usual lousy pasta and sauces.

Default Sainsbury's Diat Pils

I just found out this lager is both lower carb and higher alcohol than Michelob Ultra. It is almost 200 calories per can though! This is what I'm going to buy for husband's beer in the future. He is semi-low-carbing, mainly because I control his food supply

From their website:

Sainsbury's Diät Pils 4 x 500ml

£3.69/unit
£1.84/ltr

Nutrition

Elsewhere you will find posts about Miller (not Miller Original), which used to be called miller Lite. It's 3.2g per can.

I cant really add much that hasnt been mentioned before, but the robinsons no sugar orange juice is low in carbs, 0.9g carbs per 100,so far i have been presuming that, that figure means for it undiluted?? so its quite good.

Other than that babybel cheese are pretty much lo to no carb.

The veggie sausages under the tesco brand, are 3.2g carbs per 2 sausages, i prefer them to the quorn veggie ones.

The quorn chicken slices (for sandwiches etc) are low 4.5g for the whole pack and there are 7 slices in the pack, they make for great snacks, put some cream cheese in them and roll em up, quite nice.

Sausages!!, Hello, I have untill now been eating the useual Lidles Bratwurst and Matisons Smoked Sausage, both quite good but not what I would call a regular Banger, anyway to my surprise I have just discovered Morisons/Safeways "The Best" range of sausages, and the Pork and Leek are listed as just 0.8 Carbs per sausage, very tasty at about £1.50 for a pack of 6.

Steve,
In sainsbury's we buy sicialian sausages + toulouse sausages
and in tesco we buy traditional pork, pork + herb + lincolnshire sausages.
All have an acceptable carb level, and they are all about £2 for 6.

I found LC pizza in my local tesco (dudley, west mids) with the organic meals etc looks good.

Also i found a load of LC stuff in tesco in worcester, more for those in OWL rather than induction, as carbs figure were a bit high.

i normally have the heinze spaghetti and pasta, not bad i guess but i normally have the tesco own brand low carb sauce, i finished it today and for 99p and use it within 3 days its alot so i thought might aswell see the normal 34p(i think) and the carb ammount is even lower, 100g is 3.2g and 110(serving) is 3.5, tesco own brand is something like 6 or 7. why dont tesco advertise this as low carb? am i missing something here?

I think a lot of us shun the cheapest, because we think it won't be so nice. If they labelled the cheapest as low carb, lots of people would stop buying their higher priced brands, and they don't want that.
