Default I'm losing :)

Hey all,

Seems I don't lose in inches yet lose in lbs only, was hoping on both. Anyway the week I was down (computer crash) I lost 3 lbs and this week, meaning this morning I am down another 2 (might have been the experience I had yesterday with Chocomania?). Its nice to see it still coming off.

I find that breakfast is becoming hard to eat, wonder why? I use to get up and get right on it as I felt hungry first thing. Now I don't even think about it and realize, oops, better get my breaky in, almost like having to force myself to eat. Not that I'm complaining, I love not being hungry anymore

Still not exercising like I should. Wish I had someone close by that would kick my butt later in the day to do this!

I must try and get back to recipe cooking too to make things more exciting, although the bbq is a nice change

Anyone prior to this woe found themselves not really remember dreaming? I never remembered much in the ways of dreaming when waking up after a night of sleeping. Now I have so many dreams, and also not so very nice ones...strange eh?

Oh well, better get myself up and going, got two clients today, one cancelled and I must get into Zhers and do those cards.

Enjoy the day everyone
Wendy

Ps. Wa'il thanks for the spell check back. Don't care to lose it later though, Wendy depends on Spell Check....lol

hey Wendy,

Congrats on the 5 lbs down! And I bet you ARE losing inches, just not where you think. I know we want to lose the excess weight from the mid-section, belly hips whatever ... but our body has other plans, and the inches come off the arms, legs and face first instead! I notice too that even though the scales say down a lb. the waistband of my pants feels snug .. but it's due to bloat/fluid retention ... or my irritable bowel acting up .. .. then I notice the same pants are really baggy in the legs, which they weren't before.

I confess for me too, that eating first thing in the morning is a chore ... I have to take thyroid medication one hour before food ... so, I take it with a huge glass of water first thing (much to the annoyance of my cats, who believe it is my duty to cause food to appear in their bowls the minute I become vertical) ... and it's way too easy to just nurse a coffee or two while I get busy for the morning .. and realize when it's almost noon that hey, I guess I should eat something.

I am noticing more success when I consistently eat at least a small protein-containing breakfast, even just a boiled egg or a rolled up slice of meat with some mayo or dijon.

Hope you have a great day too ..

Doreen

Default Those Inches...

Hey Wendy, Doreen is right, as usual

I haven't been losing any more inches around the middle lately, but my DH told me that in conversation with our next door neighbour she mentioned that my legs were starting to look really great. hmmm.

Something is working! Keep it up, goil.

Default losing inches

Wendy:

Congratulations on the loss! I had to laugh at your post because I dropped almost 17 or 18 lbs before my measurements changed a bit. I remember at the time reading all these people who weren't losing pounds, but were at least losing inches and I was thinking "what is wrong with me! I still have the same big butt! Where did the 17 lbs go?"

Anyway, with me, I realized that this time (as every time I lose weight for some weird reason) it comes off my shoulders and upper back area, not really a measureable spot. I always know when I start to put on weight because my shoulders get so rounded that my bra straps start sliding down my arms. Now they are well grounded, must have lost some of those precious shoulder fat/bra strap slider off'er inches! Also, my cheeks are not so round, and my head is no longer perfectly spherical. (although if this smiley face were really supposed to be me, I'd have a hard time convincing you!)

Note to Wa'il: get some hollow cheeked smilies for text insertion! We are losers here! lol

In any case, congrats on the loss again, and I'm sure your inches are coming off somewhere!

Mari

Default diet clip art

Wa'il

So I decided to see if I could find some skinny smilies out there in cyberspace. And during my search I pulled up some website that matched my criteria, apparently. And in the short description it said something about Not Weighing more than 6 pounds and not less than 4 pounds". So I thought, this is some diet!

When I checked it out in full, turns out I was looking up the website for a "show bunny" rabbit show contest thingie! I guess they have pretty strict weight class categories.

None of their clip art worked to represent me very well, until my ears and front teeth get a little longer, and I get a bit furrier, I guess the big round smilie face is a closer likeness....ah shucks!

So much for my good ideas! lol

That's all folks!
Mari

Doreen, before I use that smiley face I think I will add a few more carbs to my diet.

What a question eh...but hey why not, I don't want to be alone on the flat butt, maybe someone has suggestions. Always loved those perky ones.
