Default CALTRATE!

better than calcium! its made from plants i think..

normally. the calcium pills you take are make from ground oyster shells which maybe contaminated, and can cause problems like constipation. my doctor told me about caltrate.

Calcium from oyster shells is Calcium Carbonate and is quite hard on your tummy. Calcium that is chelated is better apsorbed and easier on your system. Most of us get our calcium and magnesium together in one supplement - the two work in concert. It's the magnesium that lets the calcium do it's job. RDA for magnesium is 400-500mg a day depending on age; for Calcium it is 1000-1500 also depending on age and whether you are nursing/pregnant.

Thumbs up Viactiv

These are the best way to take calcium that I've found.....they are little chewy "candies" that come in four flavors including chocolate and caramel. They say that they have 2g carb/500 mg Calcium. I tend to have them with my reward meal since they are sweet....
