Default Meal by meal modifications - HELP gurus!

I am in the middle of SBD and Aktins. I am sticking with Atkins more, but beginning to add vegetables (so maybe I am just getting into phase 2 atkins.)
My question is:

In a meal in which my carb court is going to be higher, (I don't mean HIGH - just higher) does lowering the fat content help? Can this be done meal by meal on occasion?

I know SBD uses low fat cheese, etc... but increases carbs, so it seems that if my carbs would be higher, it would help to lower the fat? Am I missing something?

Fats digest slower than carbs -- so if you're going to consume a higher-carb meal you want to add fats to mitigate the effects of the carbs. I'm not familiar with Sugar Busters, so I'm not much help there. But I know that Atkins will NOT work if you do not consume enough fats. If your problem is sugar/carb cravings, this is particularly important because eating carbs will just make you want to eat more carbs and more and more....

So the answer is YES, increase the fats when you increase the carbs. Use butter or a fatty sauce on your veggies. Heck, they taste better that way anyhow!!

SB is all about lower fat not just in the cheeses.

Both plans are opposites from the other.

Here's a link, I also posted this in your other thread.

IMO, if you're gonna switch plans, switch but stick with one, it's less confusing.

Good luck!
