Post starbucks

I wouldn't totally recommend it, but my boyfriend occasionally gets drinks at starbucks, and it isn't doing him any harm. Men! You can order a latte with sugar free syrup and make sure to make it BREVE! THat means they make it with cream. Now, you should realize that there's still going to be about 4 or 5 carbs in that, and that's if it's a small one! But, for a rare treat I don't think it's a bad option.

But if you're thinking about a daily java fix, a breve latte would be a no-no. If you can't get off the caffeine (at least right now, give it time....) just order a coffee, and add some cream.

If anyone knows what the carb count in espresso is, let me know

Default I love their Cappucino !!!

Hello,

Starbucks was a place I really missed hanging out since I started induction !!!

However, I did go there once, ordered a decaf cappucino ... sat there and only took the foam ...
and of course also got to enjoy that lovely coffee smell !!

After Induction, a small Cappucino shd be allowed right ?
It'll only be a half cup of milk, abt 6g of carbo ??????

What is or is not allowed is up to you.

You have 6 grams from the milk, 1 gram from the espresso. You probably have about 30 grams to spend a day and if you think you can fit it in to your carb allowance, why not?

Default Espresso

Well..

I am GLAD my machine broke. I ordered the replacement parts..but it will be 10 days before they get here.

I am in WA state too..and believe me..giving up my latte's is like asking me to give up chocolate to a chocoholic...

I am now starting induction over again..and will not drink them as I once did. I will allow myself a treat on Thursday nite after finishing the week of school..and have a Breve'..but that is it.

I realize this isnt going to be easy..but it is necessary, and I do believe that is what stalled my first try at induction. Even though I was counting it in my carb count..I believe it stalled me terribly.

I am giving up Starbucks for awhile.....wow, did I just say I was going to do that? YIKES!
