Question Potassium

Could someone please refresh my memory on how much potassium they take, and also why???
I seem to remember reading something about aches and pains and we need more potassium. I have started exercising some more, and I find my hip joints and upper legs are sore.
I have also had some major problems over the last year with sore muscles in my upper arms, and it's not like I am overworking them!!! Acupuncutre helps, and they have been a lot better over the last month, but I still have pain sometimes if I happen to turn my arm the wrong way.
I do take a supplement with 100 mg of potassium per day. Do I need more?

Thanks for your help.

Glenda

I was experiencing muscle weakness, dizziness and low blood pressure. Even my doc didnt recognize the symptoms but after more research I added 100 mgs of potassium a day and felt better quickly. Im not sure if U would need more. Are U taking enough calcium-magnisium supplements? It sounds more like U are lacking them.
