Hips: 41 1/2 (from 42)
Waist: 38 (from 40)
Bust: 38 (from 38 1/2)

Okay, so although my weight loss has ceased, at least my inches are slowly disapearing.

Hi there - just saw your belly fat post.

Couple of tips:

Never do cardio before lifting - always lift first, then cardio. It burns more fat.

It looks like it's time to ramp up your weightlifting. Cardio doesn't do enough on its own, and those inner thigh "toning" things really don't do anything but waste your time - try some squats, deadlifts, leg extensions, leg curls, hacks - big, basic, compound movements, and also some heavier upper body work. This will stimulate your metabolism and you'll probably drop more fat.

If you need a hand making the switch, drop in my journal and we'll see what we can do.

I don't know what to tell you about Pilates - I've never done any, but some folks really seem to like it. I'll have to try it sometime.

Take a look at the first page of my journal - there's a link to my first lifting programme that you may find helpful. Let me know if there's anything you need help with.

Okay, today I walked 3 miles, and did 40 minutes on the stationary bike.

Spring is finally just around the corner, so it is time to start being more active once again.

March 22nd, 2005:

23 minutes on eliptical bike (200 cal)
13 minutes stationary bike at gym (50 calories)

Plan on going for a 2 mile walk, pilates, and more stationary bike later this evening. Yay for motivation.

I ended up walking 2 miles only. I am feeling kind of sore, so I figured it would be better if I didn't push myself over my limits.

I did about 15 minutes of pilates right before I went to bed. For some odd reason, exercising makes me sleepy.

March 25th:

Eliptical Bike: 33 minutes (275 cals)
WT: Upper body (arms and back)
Yoga/Stretching: 1:15 hours
Stationary Bike: TBA

And I would have gone for a run (because it was beautiful outside!) had there been more hours in the day. :P

Calves: 16
Leg right above knee: 18

That is definately a trouble spot.

So far I have lost 2' off my upper leg. I guess that is where the 5 pounds were lost, because my other measurements are all the same still.

I'm going to update my measurements August 1st. I've nearly forgotten about my gym log.
