Don't miss rice, don't miss pasta, don't miss cakes and to be honest I still like potatoes, but I can quite happily live without eating them agian.
What I really don't miss is the almost 34lbs I've lost!

I'm surprised because I don't miss bread items or potatoes. Sweets are still a issue with me. I haven't had any but I still dream of them. I'm hoping this will go away the longer I'm on Atkins!

I found out the other day I don't miss coffee cake. That really surprised me.

A person at work was trying to get me to have a piece ("Oh, c'mon, you can have just a small piece..." etc.). She wasn't doing it meanly, but in a really nice way. I began to think that I should have some so she wouldn't feel bad. Then I thought "what am I doing?" I realized that I had no desire for the dang thing but was just going to eat it so she wouldn't feel like I was rejecting her cake. I quickly wised up and said "maybe later". But the fact that I really didn't want a piece was surprising, since that used to be one of my major weaknesses. Now it just seemed like it would be kind of dry and overly sweet and not nearly as flavorful as a lot of the LC stuff I can eat.

I smell the foods that I miss, so, I don't miss the ones that gave me the ick feelings after I ate them, or the guilt feelings, like McDonalds fries, and giant brownies, and M&M's, I watch people eating them, and think ick...to fatty, or too sweet, and I can satisfy my cravings with low carb goodies when the chocolate fix is needed!!

I don't miss cakes and cookies and all that sweet pastry.

Even once in a while I will find myself at a birthday party or something and if decide to have a little piece, it's never worth it. Not very good at all.

I don't miss bread, potatoes or sodas. Don't even like the
sugar free soda and I used to drink 1 or 2 Dr. Peppers a day!

Don't miss pasta either, especially since I've found substitutes
(veggies) to use in receipes.

I don't miss sweets or fast food..but I miss bread..a lot! Also potatoes. I am eating the lo-carb tortillas so that helps in the bread department. I thought I would miss fast foods..I was a junkie..but I am pleased that it has not been a problem.

I'm Filipino and I never pass up on any of the desserts when they are served (because they only make them on special occasions and not to offend the baker). When I was home last time I didn't eat the desserts because I didn't want to. It was weird, I just didn't feel like it.

I'm surprised nobody else mentioned this, but I don't miss beans at all. I realize that I always ate them as "filler", but never really shed a tear when I thought about leaving them out of my WOE.

Don't really miss cake much, either...

beans is a BIG miss to me...

i'm cuban... and i literally grew up (and grew big) on homemade black beans over white rice. that is a constant staple at home. i miss the bejezus outta home made black beans... my parents just recently returned from a three week trip abroad, and my sister cooked them a big pot of black beans... i had to leave the house. thankfully, everyone understood.

Oh, you had to mention beans. I love bean soup. I was the only one in the family who ate it and I made some good bean soup. I also miss my lentils. What so bad is these things are good for you. Dang Oreo cookies and Lays potatoe chips have to mess up everything!!!

Haven't seemed to miss anything really - a real surprise is that I do not miss potatoes - I used to have either spuds, rice or pasta with every meal - very strange isn't it - I do hanker for chocolate or something sweet on the odd occasion so I use Chocolate Chip Breakfast Bars or Empower Chocolate Deserts - or Diet Jelly in any flavour i want - so no don't really miss anything. AND THE BEST THING IS I DON'T MISS THE FAT THAT I'M LOSING
