Been a while, big changes, what to look out for?
Well, I fell way off the LC wagon about four years ago after a lot of success (270 - 222lbs), but after having some health concerns. To make a very long story short, some of it was there (fatty liver), but the rest was in my head. Doc put me on anti depressants. They did the job, but my weight shot up to my previous high.
It's taken 4 years to get my head straight (which wasn't that hard after the doctor FINALLY diagnosed my problem), and realize I'm not dying, unless I don't take care of this weight.
I tried LC'ing on and off, but had no success while on anti-depressants.
I got off anti depressants.
I then, somehow, managed to get off of smoking 1 1/2 years ago. The quitting smoking also packed the pounds back on, but quitting was a priority, so I let it be.
I started LC'ing again about 6 weeks ago, and FINALLY, the weight wants to come off again!
So many changes since I last did this. LC stuff everywhere. I'm trying odds and ends, and am really liking what I'm tasting, looking forward to being able to have this stuff on maintenance.
Are you guys really losing on this stuff? Mission LC tortillas, LC Doritos and Cheetos, LC Ice cream (Yum, tried it once), LC bread, Dreamfields pasta, hershey 1 carb bars, etc. I'm of course talking in moderation, not binging.
I tried the LC ice cream, and stalled for a week, but didn't gain like I would with smoked almonds (a serious weakness for me).
This stuff seems to open up a whole new world to me, affording the possibility of "regular" foods occasionally, and while on maintenance. OMG, dominos LC pizza? You're kidding, right? This stuff could really keep me from ever falling off the wagon again once I reach maintenance, and as an occasional treat when my Packers are on Monday night Football!
I'm already a regular at Carl's Jr for the $6 LC Burger when I work late and don't feel like cooking. Nice to not have the bun temptation!
Again, I know moderation is the key, but in moderation, doesn't this stuff stall anyone? I don't plan on much now, but am thinking it would all be nice on maintenance.
Man, I wish all this stuff was available 4 years ago!
Too good to be true?
