Lightbulb ideal weight reality check

I watched Friday's game between the US and Canadian women's ice hockey teams, and the TV station flashed an interesting stat about the US team: average height, 5'6" and average weight? 153. These are fit, powerful women. The numbers are a nice reminder of what a healthy weight might be for someone who works out a lot.

Or is a professional athlete

I am 5'7" and 154 now and I still look a bit flabby and jiggly. Then again, I mostly have a desk job and work out 3 times a week.

Thanks for posting that, razzle. It is nice to hear -- especially in context with the women's (not hockey) skaters who were on TV this weekend, where a 150-pound 5'6" female wouldn't be allowed on the ice

It IS nice to get some perspective once in a while. I always used to "compete" with my sister which is ridiculous because she has an entirely different body structure to mine. We are the same height but she looks great at 135-140 and I would be in the hospital at that weight. I look great at 170, so not all frames are created equal, even with the same height and same gene pool She has said that it wasn't fair that I got her share of bosom though. She has to really try to fill out a B cup while I, even when "thin" am a D or DD. Aaahh....revenge is sweet...LOL
