None of the above- but I am tempted and most likely to give in when I get overhungry. I totally lose control. I should get a tattoo somewhere that says "Overhungry=Overeating."

This is off topic but I don't know how to start a thread. Has anyone read a new book called "The Perfect Fit Diet" (or something like that?) She says some really interesting things in it and explains how the three basic diets work: low carb, low calorie, and low fat. And there's a test you take to see which diet is best for you, and then some tips on how to make that diet work. She talked about why you lose so much weight quickly on a low-carb plan and some other stuff I didn't know. Interesting.

Default Date Night W/Hubby

On the rare occasions that hubby and I have a date away from our two year old, we usually go to our favorite Mexican restarant. Yes -- the fajitas sans tortillas are lc, but I do love me some Margaritas!!! And, one margarita will lead me to order a big stinkin' bowl of white cheese dip and eat an entire basket of chips. But as long as it is ONLY once in a blue moon, and I get right back on the wagon the next day, I just don't care.

None of the above. What tempts me to cheat the most is not eating enough calories. Calories restriction is the devil.

Social situations including family, work and friends. Usually I can resist, but every so often I give in.

But my biggest temptation is Christmas and Halloween. Christmas because when I was growing up, it was pretty financially lean for our family year 'round, except during December when Mom would splurge and get all sorts of treats for us. I equate Christmas with treats and without just seems depressing! Halloween because I love the food 'round that time. Pumpkin sugar cookies with icing, all those little packets of candy and chocolate, apple cider, you name it, I love it!

Bored at home is an awful situation for me, but I will have to go with:

1. Chocolate in the same room with me and in my line of vision.
2. Chocolate in the next room, not visible to me, but I know it's there.
3. Chocolate, not anywhere around me, not easily accessible, but I know of its existence in the universe and I know what it tastes like!

4. Certain specific chocolate items, like
Godiva Chocolate Raspberry Truffle ice cream
Chocolate-Banana milk shake
Chocolate "molten" or "lava" cake
Chocolate mousse
Mrs. Fields chocolate chip cookies

None of those are particularly tempting...my biggest problem is letting myself get caught in a situation where I'm really hungry and there are no good food choices available. It's really important for me to think ahead and be prepared with good LC food.

I chose fast food..

My friend LOVES to stop at fast food places whenever we are out shopping and it's almost impossible for me to not at least have a couple french fries. But the birthday cake sitting in my kitchen is probably the most tempting thing right now! GRRRRR!!

Definitely home alone for me. The boredom is what kills me. Prior to LC too, this was my worst bingeing tendency. That and going out to the garage to smoke.

I've giving up both now, so it gets really frustrating at times as my wife works graveyard as a CNA, so I have a fair bit of time to myself. Lately, I just stuff myself with water so I don't feel like I could eat. That and come to this forum for support

I'm not perfect, but I haven't eaten ANYTHING that isn't part of the DANDR OWL in a year. I feel good. Haven't lost huge amounts of weight, but DANG I feel good. I'm afraid that if I let myself have that one piece of cake, or one cookie, or one Mt. Dew, I'm gonna blow everything I've accomplished in the last year and go back to being a horrible feeling slug. I don't want that. I have so much variety and so many good things to eat, that I just don't want to go back to being a carbaholic.

I spent my week of vacation up at my mom's painting and doing things around her house for her that she can't do for herself. I took my own veggies & fruits so I wouldn't convince myself I didn't have anything to eat. I love the wide variety of foods on Atkins OWL and honestly don't miss bread, pasta or the carbier veggies, let alone things like peas & beans. The one meal we did eat out I ordered a steak and made a pig of myself at the salad bar. Fortunately they did have cantaloup and strawberries at the dessert bar so I made out good there, too.

I won't say I'm not tempted, just that I won't let myself get sidetracked when I feel so darned good and know that my overall health has greatly improved.
