Talking Quarter Year Induction Challenge

I'm going to start a quarter year (3 month) induction challenge and am hoping some of you will join me! The challenge will last August 1st-October 31st. The rules?...

1. Stick to induction as outlined in DANDR for the next 3 months.
2. Pick a realistic amount you'd like to lose in the next 3 months.
3. Post here as often as possible to report your progress, frustrations, or whatever else.


As an added bonus I'm tacking on a planned cheat at the end of this challenge. The end date is Halloween so how about a few pieces of that candy as a reward if you come within 5lbs of your goal by the conclusion of the challenge ? Let me know what you think of this idea.

My goal weight is 300lbs by October 31st a total lose of 36lbs. I think 12lbs per month is realistic seeing as my current weight is so high. If I keep below 20g/day, drink my water, take my supplements, and exercise at least 4-5 days each week I think I can make it.

Well, today's August 1st and I'm starting the quarter year induction. I lost 1.5lbs over the last week without really trying (ate low carb ice cream a few times). I'm hoping this loss signifies good things to come. I bought a 7 day pill reminder last week and it really has helped. I keep it near my computer because I come on here everyday and just seeing it there reminds me to take my supplements. I've been taking 1 multivitamin, 1 chromium picolinate (200mcg), 2 calcium + vitamin D (600mg), and 1 5-htp (50mg) on mondays wednesdays and fridays. 5 htp is supposed to help with depression, and so far I think it has helped elevate my mood. Also, I think the chromium picolinate may have helped with the small weight loss I had this week. I bought a really good booklet at the vitamin shoppe about chromium and it says most Americans don't get enough. Chromium helps the body balance its blood sugar better and also helps in weightloss somewhat.

Still hoping more will join me in the challenge, but either way I'm commited to making it the whole 3 months .

HI there, I would love to join you for a cheat-free 3 months. I am basically starting over --- again and again. Thanks for starting this. I would like to lose 15 lbs at the LEAST in 3 months. Thanks for starting this.

Today I did pretty well. I took my supplements and ate reasonably well.
Menu:
Breakfast- Sliced roast beef wrapped in provolone slices w/ mayo
Lunch- 2 oven baked chicken thighs
Dinner- 6 oz grilled steak and 1 cup broccoli
Other- 1 cup tea w/ heavy cream and diet rootbeer "float" (diet rootbeer with a shot or 2 of heavy cream)
I still might have a snack before bed, but now I'm not hungry so hopefully I can make it without one.
Tomorrow I hope to exercise and drink more water.
