Well, today's August 1st and I'm starting the quarter year induction. I lost 1.5lbs over the last week without really trying (ate low carb ice cream a few times). I'm hoping this loss signifies good things to come. I bought a 7 day pill reminder last week and it really has helped. I keep it near my computer because I come on here everyday and just seeing it there reminds me to take my supplements. I've been taking 1 multivitamin, 1 chromium picolinate (200mcg), 2 calcium + vitamin D (600mg), and 1 5-htp (50mg) on mondays wednesdays and fridays. 5 htp is supposed to help with depression, and so far I think it has helped elevate my mood. Also, I think the chromium picolinate may have helped with the small weight loss I had this week. I bought a really good booklet at the vitamin shoppe about chromium and it says most Americans don't get enough. Chromium helps the body balance its blood sugar better and also helps in weightloss somewhat.
Still hoping more will join me in the challenge, but either way I'm commited to making it the whole 3 months .
