Default Hi! Newbie to this board :)

Hello!

I am new to this board, but I found this forum a few weeks ago. I need to belong here because in reality my goal that is posted on my info isn't 100% correct. I actually should lose an additional 20 pounds from what I have posted, but for me, its been hard to see I need to lose 100 pounds. I guess 80 pounds to me seemed more obtainable. Maybe it is all psychological or whatever!

Anyway, I am new here, not to LCing. Although I keep falling off the band wagon and trying to jump back on. I 'restarted' two days ago and haven't looked back. I keep thinking to myself to take it on day at a time and look at how far I have come. Why eat that peice of bread or that ice cream staring at me and undo what I am working hard for!

I do have a problem. I have found the frankenfoods and love them! I need to stop though, I really think I need to do a clean induction for a few weeks. What do you think? Any ideas?

I also need to lose this weight because I DO NOT WANT diabetes. My entire family (dad side) has it. I want to do what ever is possible to try and get that to stay away from me.

So, I wanted to introduce myself and say hello~

Welcome! I know what you mean about Frankenfoods! Woof! I should have named myself Russell Stover for the mints I eat.

Hiya Ouzogirl and welcome aboard.

Well you seem to know what works against you so now you have to take the bull by the horns and really stick to the program religiously and get rid of all the stuff that makes you cheat, chips and ice cream and treats, etc. etc.. That's easier to do if you're the only person in your household, a little more difficult with a hubby and kids, but that stuff isn't any good for them either so they should be rare treats anyway.

Frankenfoods are BAD, (for the most part) they say one thing on the wrapper but when you count up all the carbs, without excluding this or that (sugar alcohols) you'll see that the number is indeed higher. I know it tastes good, I got caught up in the Advantage bar thing and immediately stalled, whereas before discovering them I had been losing at a steady place.

It's best to eat pure foods, unprocessed meat and cheeses, eggs, veggies and some fruit, lots of water, some good vitamins and supplements and some exercise and you have a winning combination.

You'll derive from this plan what you put into it, if you are serious about losing weight then stick to the plan, if you want to lead a life of yo yo dieting then do what you had been doing before and that's about all the success you'll get out of it.

When you're feeling down or wanting to cheat, go read the success stories on here, you'll no doubt find the inspiration to stay on track.

Good luck to you on your journey.

I'm new here as well, but wanted to welcome you also! I agree with reading the success stories on here to keep you motivated. It is my lifeline right now...some awesome successes on these boards.

I haven't a clue what frankenfoods are....I'm assuming they are wonderful...so I am going to stay blissfully ignorant.

Have a good weekend!

Welcome to the TDC!

I have found that when I eat frankenfoods, it ups my calories to the point where I do not lose weight. That is okay some of the time, but you probably don't want to do it every day.
